Assistant Manager, Product Development & Management

Roles & Responsibilities

Product Development

  • Oversee the entire product development life cycle to rollout new product and services that include product development and research, idea conceptualization, documentation preparation, obtain signatories, support the regulatory submission processes, and obtain the approvals from internal and external parties for new fund launches.

  • Develop and continuously enhance product development strategies.

Product Management

  • Ensure that the existing products remain relevant or restructure the funds, if need be, or product rationalization, if the product is no longer economical viable.

  • Prepare the supplementary/replacement offering documents when required and oversee the entire process of documentation preparation, obtain signatories, support the regulatory submission processes, and obtain the approvals from internal and external parties for fund revision or rationalisation.

  • Prepare annual replacement PHS for regulatory submission.

  • Update existing fund deck and factsheets on a frequent basis for marketing purposes.

  • Monitor, analyze and prepare data and market intelligence on the unit trust industry and market trends.

Product Support

  • Provide support to stakeholders in product related matters.

  • Assists Head of Department in all related matters as assigned.

Others

  • Update the department’s manual and other related documents when being advised.

  • Attend to periodical risk and compliance reporting.

  • Coordinate the relevant meetings with the stakeholders e.g. Product Meetings, Working Group Meetings and prepare the agenda and minutes for the relevant meetings.

  • Guide junior staff in the department for the completion of tasks.

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives that the company might be involved in to enhance product range and business development.

Requirements

  • Minimum degree holder from a recognized University.

  • Extensive knowledge of product development and management. Experience in developing and managing investment products and familiar with the relevant applicable regulatory guidelines will be added advantage.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication as well as facilitation skills.

  • Independent and possess high degree of ethics and integrity.
