Khairul Muzamel Perera Abdullah

Chairman – Non Independent Member

Khairul Muzamel Perera Abdullah was appointed as the Chairman and non-independent member of the BIMB Investment’s Investment Committee since July 2015. Khairul joined Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad in 2009 heading the Credit Risk Management unit, and later appointed as the Group Chief Credit Officer until 2022. Khairul has over 35 years of Banking and Finance related experience. Prior to joining Bank Islam, he was with Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad in 1999 handling asset recovery. He also spent several years at Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad, as Vice President, Corporate Debt Issuances.

Khairul is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, London and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals, Malaysia,

Mohd Radzuan Ahmad Tajuddin

Independent Member

Mohd Radzuan Ahmad Tajuddin was appointed an independent member of the BIMB Investment’s Investment Committee since December 2017. He was formerly the Head of Development, Islamic Capital Market with the Securities Commission Malaysia .He has also held various senior positions with the Securities Commission Malaysia in corporate finance, bond and sukuk markets, prospectus disclosures and Islamic capital market.

Ahmad Radzuan holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance & Marketing, National University of Malaysia.

Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad

Independent Member

Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad was appointed as an independent member of the BIMB Investment’s Investment Committee since 1 December 2022. He first joined BIMB Investment’s Board of Directors in October 2021. Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad has 38 years of experience in the banking industry mainly in Group Treasury. His last position before retirement was the Senior Managing Director and Regional Head, Islamic Treasury, Treasury & Markets, Group Wholesale Banking at CIMB Group. He was also the Chief Dealer at Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad for 5 years in London.

Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad holds a;

  • Doctorate in Business Administration from OYAGSB, UUM;
  • Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours, UiTM Shah Alam;
  • Chartered Accountant, a practicing Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA); and a
  • Certified Senior Financial Market Practitioner (CSMP) by ACI-Financial Market of Malaysia (FMAM) & The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB)
